Great eating and drinking in Roanoke. There’s no limit to how far I’ll drive to get Neapolitan pizza now that I live in a town without any. Fortunato made the trip worth it. Big Lick Brewing Company was a worthy follow-up: a beautiful space and great brews. The saison was particularly exceptional. Of course I couldn’t pass up an opportunity to visit Ballast Point’s eastern brewery to get some sculpins straight from the source.
