The Abbey on Butler

Pittsburgh always has new surprises. Kristin and I were taking a morning stroll through Lawrenceville, and we happened to stumble on the recently-opened Abbey on Butler Street. We were sufficiently intrigued to stop back for dinner that evening, and again to the coffee house the following morning. That's one of the great appeals of the Abbey: it's a restaurant, bar, and coffee shop in one spacious, beautifully laid-out building. It's still establishing its menu and staff, but it seems to have already garnered quite a following and it looks to be a very promising new spot if our experience was any indication!

(Also, extremely friendly staff and they had a fine saison on tap).
